LOS ANGELES — Victoria’s Secret brought its signature Fantasy Bra back to the runway Sunday night for the first time since 2018, and the model chosen to carry it was not one of the brand’s Angels but Kylie Jenner, making her debut at the company’s fashion show.

The piece set a record. Valued at $50 million, it tops the previous high of $15 million set in 2000 by roughly $35 million. It was made with jeweler Jacob & Co. and holds 4,410 natural diamonds arranged around a 75.54-carat fancy vivid yellow stone at its center, with diamond fringe hanging from the lower edge. The center stone alone is worth about $22 million.

The bra took a team of 15 artisans more than 1,000 hours to assemble and weighs a little less than four pounds. The total diamond weight comes to more than 1,373 carats. Jenner paired it with white feathered wings, a sheer short skirt and clear heels.

Jenner, 29, is a reality television star who built a beauty business and counts about 380 million followers on Instagram. She is the first model outside the Angels lineup to wear a Fantasy Bra on the runway. Her mother, Kris Jenner, and her boyfriend, actor Timothée Chalamet, watched from the front row.

The tradition dates to 1996, when Claudia Schiffer wore the first version, a $1 million design, in a print ad. Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima and Gisele Bündchen are among the stars who have worn later editions. The most recent one before Sunday, a Swarovski design worn by Elsa Hosk at the 2018 show, was covered in 21,000 stones.

Jenner later shared behind-the-scenes photos from her preparation on social media, including a close-up of the bra.
